
Verizon Wireless has just added the simple and basic flip phone, Nokia 2605 to its mobile phone offerings. Also known with the monicker Mirage, the Nokia 2605 promises useful features and great form factor with sutble curves, clean lines and sophisticated profile. It’s design is further complemented by its changeable Xpress snaps which accentuate its design with color splashes that suits your mood and style. Despite its simple nature, the Nokia 2605 Mirage also features a VGA camera which is good enough for capturing memories and sharing them through picture messaging. One notable feature of the Nokia 2605 Mirage it the new Calendar Preview feature that helps users keep track of their appointments by displaying them on the standby screen.
Looking at the features and specs of the Nokia 2605 Mirage, I couldn’t help but notice that despite being branded as a simple and basic mobile phone, it is definitely a feature-rich one at that. Running down on its specs would give us the following - Bluetooth connectivity with various profile settings, hands-free, object push for vCard and vCalendar and phone book access.
It’s VGA camera features self-timer for up to 10 seconds and has various color effects such as normal, sepia, black and white, negative, aqua and green. It’s resolution can be adjusted to either 640×480, 320×240 and 160×120 and you can capture photos in landscape and portrait mode. It even has its own dedicated camera key.
The Nokia 2605 also offers a slew of Verizon Wireless-provided services such as access to VZ’s media center where you can download gmes, ringtones and more. It also supports mobile web mail, mobile IM and chat, text and picture messaging, and VZ’s Chaperon/Parent/Child safety feature.
Other specs of the Nokia 2605 Mirage include, a 1.8 65k CSTN 128×128 External Display, 2.32 oz weight, 210 minutes usage time and 240 hours of standby time.
It’s other features include, phonebook of up to 500 contacts, setup assistant, personal organizer calendar, dedicated speakerphone key, voice commands, speed dialing, bilingual English and Espanol interface, and TTY compatible.
