Pantech USA and AT&T deliver an affordable device

Pantech USA, a subsidiary of Pantech Group, which is a very important Korean mobile manufacturer, announced that a brand new mobile phone is already available. Launched under the name of C630, the device is expected to start selling on 12 December, meaning today, being offered by the US carrier AT&T.

While other companies decided to reveal all sorts of expensive high-end cell phones right before Christmas, Pantech USA thinks that the best way for them to gain more and more customers is to give them what they most want: a well-equipped handset sold with an affordable price.

The candybar features lots of multimedia functionalities, allowing its users to choose from GPS, music, chat and video. I’m sure you all know that big things can always come in small packages, so the C360’s most popular features can easily be managed, including text, IM multimedia messaging, GPS navigation and music. As far as the navigation is concerned, you’ll have the chance to use advanced functions with aGPS for turn-by-turn directions, using an AT&T service, the Navigator. When it comes to entertainment, the C630 is compatible with a variety of digital music formats.

The mobile phone is made from mixed materials, being provided with a rubberized back-panel, with a mirrored screen, not to mention the joystick pad. It measures 4 x 1 (length x depth) and features the following specifications: 3G support, the aGPS that I was earlier talking about and that allows the use of AT&T Navigator, microSD card support, 1.3 megapixel camera and two other AT&T multimedia services, Video Share and Mobile Music.

“The C630 is a little phone with big functionality”, said Patrick Beattie, vice president of sales and marketing at Pantech Wireless, Inc. “We packed a lot in this device while working to keep the price affordable. Pantech believes that advanced functionality can be available for all levels of users”.

The Pantech C630 was said to become available starting today on AT&T’s official website, being sold for $39.99, with a two-year contract and mail-in rebate. Even if this new mobile phone that Pantech USA is offering all of you doesn’t come with a QWERTY keyboard, you might still be impressed by its affordable price.
